About Swiss Finly
A small, free set of Swiss personal finance calculators built around one idea: show the number, then show exactly how it was produced.
What this is
Swiss Finly is a collection of 7 calculators for everyday money questions in Switzerland — net salary, pillar 3a, mortgage affordability, investment growth, leasing versus buying, and an overall financial check-up. Each one runs entirely in your browser.
There are no accounts, no ads, no affiliate links and no paid tiers. Nothing is sold and nothing is recommended: the tools exist to make Swiss financial mechanics legible, not to route you towards a product.
Where the Swiss parameters come from
Social insurance rates, BVG/LPP thresholds, pillar 3a maximums and the federal direct tax scale are taken from official publications of the Federal Social Insurance Office (BSV/OFAS) and the Federal Tax Administration (ESTV/AFC). Cantonal and communal taxation is modelled with simplified indices derived from published cantonal tariffs, which is why tax output is always labelled as approximate.
All of these values live in a single dated configuration layer for the reference year 2026, so parameters can be updated once a year without touching any calculation logic. Every calculator lists the assumptions it used directly on its page.
Why everything says “estimated”
Swiss taxation depends on your canton, your municipality, your full income picture and deductions that no calculator can see. Pension fund plans differ per employer. Investment returns are unknowable in advance. So the honest output is a well-documented approximation, not a precise figure — and that is how the results are labelled.
None of the tools provide payroll, tax, legal or financial advice. Confirm any figure that matters with your employer, pension fund, cantonal tax administration or a qualified adviser.
